Updated at: 0259 PST, Thursday, January 01, 2009 ISLAMABAD: Government has given approval of the inflation in the gas prices by 5 to 17 percent on Wednesday here.According to sources the summary in this regard has been sent to Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) that would be implemented from first of January.Five percent increase in gas prices would be applied on the domestic consumers in the first three beginning categories while medium and large categories of gas consumers would face six percent inflation in prices.Three percent increase in gas prices would be applied on the local industries while ten percent was increased in gas prices for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) industry.
